Disruptive technologies and their associated military innovations may fundamentally alter long-standing concepts of warfare. Potential adversaries are seeking asymmetric capabilities to exploit US vulnerabilities and offset current Blue Force advantages. Asymmetric capabilities are typically unpredictable and possess potential military consequences as evidenced by the human toll attributed to IEDs and the readily available access to commercial micro-sensors for integration with UAVs for hostile surveillance upon friendly Blue Force.
Through your attendance at this conference, you will:
- Understand emerging disruptive technology threats that pose potentially disruptive military capabilities and challenges for friendly Blue Forces.
- Delineate US efforts to counter the application of break-through disruptive technologies that have emerged over the past several years aimed at negating Blue Force advantages.
- Describe sought-after Blue Force technology embedded solutions whose maturation is rapidly approaching and when integrated into a military system will provide a significant improvement in Blue Force operational capability.
