TechNet North 2007

11/7/2007

14 & 15 Nov 07

C4ISR, a term traditionally used in a military systems context, today has broad applicability across the private, public and voluntary sectors of national and international organizations. C4ISR systems are used to generate situational awareness, whether in a major war or conflict, defending or protecting the homeland, conducting and assuring financial transactions, or responding to natural and man-made disasters. The exponential increase in the number and types of sensors used to generate situational awareness has produced an abundance of information and data that can be tailored for applications in other activities and operations requiring timely and accurate multi-sourced intelligence. TechNet North 2007 will feature prominent speakers and panels of experts who will examine how persistent C4ISR systems are being employed today, what lessons we have learned from past implementations and what is being developed to exploit their enormous potential.
