Telework.gov has links to various tools, guidance, and legislation, they give the advise addressed in this column.
Employees should:
Employee's wireless and home network technology should be in accordance with their company's security goals.
Broadband connections should have a firewall.
Internet browsers should be configured to limit venerability and intrusions.
Operating systems should be configured to enhance security.
Employees must:
Participate in systems security training.
Achieve sufficient technical proficiency to implement required security measures.
Protect individual's rights to privacy.
Comply with agency policies and any additional requirements detailed in the telework agreement.
