This annual event sponsored by the Armed Forces Communication Electronics Association (AFCEA) Scott AFB–St. Louis Chapter. The conference theme this year is “Cyberspace Strategies for Operational Effect." This theme combines two concepts: 1) the concept of warfare in cyberspace which is driving the stand-up of the Air Force Cyberspace Command and 2) the need to bring enhanced communications and applications capabilities to the cyber battlespace. This challenge is not just limited to the Air Force, it also extends to all of DoD. For this conference, the role of cyberspace capabilities for supporting CINCs will be particularly germane. TechNet Mid-America 2007 will showcase more than 80 IT exhibitors, including information-filled professional development seminars.
