This major annual tactical communications summit will take place at the Georgetown University Conference Center in Washington DC. The conference will provide a forum for exchange of information, opinions and ideas on the future communications systems and technologies and how their use will affect warfare policy and operations. Discussions will touch on acquisition needs, policy decisions, and concepts of operation, as well as updates on systems and programs currently under development. GRIDCOM 2007 will examine emerging global concepts and developments, discussing the challenges to network-centric transformation and integration on a national, multi-national and joint scale. Next generation technologies, systems and platforms will be assessed to identify where current tactical communications capability gaps can be filled, as will global markets and future procurement opportunities for industry.
This year IDGA is expecting 100 representatives from a broad base of industry. In terms of job titles, expect to see Senior/Chief/Principal Engineers, Systems Architects, Business Development Managers, Sales and Marketing Consultants, Tactical Communication and Equipment Specialists and Heads of SATCOM Projects.
