2007 Gold Coast Conference

7/30/2007

14 & 15 Aug 07

The purpose of Gold Coast is to provide a forum to educate, guide, and assist businesses (especially small businesses) in working with the government (primarily the Department of Defense). It is not restricted to those who do business directly with the government, but open to all relevant businesses. The history of this conference dates back 17 years. 2007's event will be the 19th annual. NDIA and the Navy have collaborated to arrange speakers and topics of interest with regards to working with the government. There are interesting and motivating speakers in a general/plenary session, break-out sessions on relevant topics, and also exhibitors (those who currently do or want to do business with the government). As with any of these events, there are also plenty of opportunities for networking. Though this is labeled as a "small business opportunity conference," large business participation is always welcome and encouraged. In fact, large businesses have actively participated, as it is beneficial for them too (teaming partners, filling niche technologies, meeting small business requirements).
