DoD Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria
- (TCSEC) A document published by the National Computer Security Center (NCSC) containing a uniform set of basic requirements and evaluation classes for assessing the effectiveness of hardware and software security controls built into automated information systems. These criteria are intended for use in the design and evaluation of systems that will process and/or store sensitive or classified data.
